This information was received from Diana Lamb, State of Michigan, Licensing Division, Credentials Unit in response to the difference between Homestudy and Online material:
Home study courses are where there is a physical book that they study from, and there is either a test in the back that they perform and mail it in, or else it can direct the social worker to a web site to take the quiz, and yes, they would need to make sure that it is going to print out a certificate stating it was a home study course. I did check with Rae Ramsdell, the Division Director of the Licensing Bureau, and she concurred that for a course to be considered home study, it must come
from a physical book or manual." (April 16, 2008)
So, courses from Ce4Less will be considered Homestudy because they are based on books or manuals which can be read at home. You also have the option to have the words "Homestudy" printed on your certificate.
