In the US, there are many “systems of justice” that seek to redress the harm caused to crime victims and hold offenders accountable for their actions. These include the criminal, federal, juvenile, military, and tribal justice systems. This domestic violence continuing education course will explore some of the basic elements of and distinctions among these different justice systems, emphasizing the rights for crime victims in each justice system.
