    1. Overview of current approaches and challenges to addressing SED/SMI and co-occurring substance misuse or SUD among youth and young adults.
  2. What Research Tells Us
    1. Current evidence on effectiveness of the following treatment practices included in the guide to address SED/SMI and cooccurring substance misuse or SUD in youth and young adults: Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT); Multidimensional family therapy (MDFT); and, Pharmacotherapy
  3. Guidance for Selecting and Implementing Evidence-based Practices
    1. Practical information to consider when selecting and implementing treatment practices and programs to address SED/SMI and co-occurring substance misuse or SUD in youth and young adults
  4. Examples of Treatment Programs
    1. Descriptions of programs that use treatment practices from Chapter 2 to address SED/SMI and co-occurring substance misuse or SUD in youth and young adults
  5. Resources for Evaluation and Quality Improvement
    1. Guidance and resources for implementing best practices, monitoring outcomes, and improving quality
