Course Summary
Mental Health: Culture, Race and Ethnicity examines the mental health disparities affecting racial and ethnic minorities. Drawing on scientific evidence from a wide-ranging body of empirical research, this course looks at the nature and extent of mental health disparities. The course first examines the influence of culture and society on mental health. Then mental health care for the 4 primary racial and ethnic groups in the U.S. is examined.
