Oklahoma Substance Abuse Counselor CE Requirements

Oklahoma Alcohol and Drug Counselors are required to complete 20 hours of approved continuing education every 2 years.

Yes! Oklahoma Alcohol and Drug Counselors may earn up to 10 hours through CE4Less. OBLADC rules restrict the number of continuing education hours earned through any “online sources” to ten.

CE4Less is approved by the Oklahoma State Board of Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselors (OBLADC) to provide continuing education.

Oklahoma Alcohol and Drug Counselor licenses must be renewed annually by June 30th.

Each renewal Oklahoma Drug and Alcohol Counselors are required to complete:

• 3 hours in Ethics (See our courses in Ethics & Telemental Health and Ethics Boundary Issues)
• 10 hours that are Alcohol and Drug specific
• 3 hours in Supervision (Supervisors only)
