Utah Marriage and Family Therapist CE Requirements and Courses Requirements
How many CEs does Utah require?
Utah MFTs are required to complete 40 hours of approved continuing education every 2 years.
Can I take my CEs from CE4Less?
Yes! Utah MFTs may earn 15 hours through CE4Less.
CE4Less is approved by the American Psychological Association (APA), the National Board of Certified Counselors (NBCC), and NAADAC for continuing education.

What else do I need to know?
Utah MFT licenses must be renewed every two years by September 30th of even years.
Each renewal Utah MFTs are required to complete:
- 6 in Ethics (See our courses in Ethics & Telemental Health and Ethics Boundary Issues)
- 2 in Suicide Prevention
