New Jersey Counselor CE Requirements

New Jersey Counselors are required to complete 40 hours of approved continuing education every 2 years.

Yes! There are no restrictions on the number of hours New Jersey Counselors can complete through CE4Less – all 40 hours may be earned through CE4Less.

New Jersey Counselor licenses must be renewed every 2 years by November 30th of even years.

Each renewal New Jersey Counselors must complete:

• 5 hours in Ethics (See our courses in Ethics & Telemental Health and Ethics Boundary Issues)
• 3 hours in Social and Cultural Competency
