What else do I need to know?
New Mexico social work licenses (LMSW, LBSW, LCSW, and LISW) must be renewed every 2 years by June 30.
Each renewal cycle, all New Mexico social workers are required to complete 6 hours in cultural awareness. Hours earned beyond the 6-hour requirement may be applied to the overall requirement. A full listing of CE4Less’ cultural competency courses is available here.
Licensees who supervise LMSWs are required to complete 3 hours in administration. To qualify, the course used must be submitted for approval prior to completion.
