Kentucky Marriage and Family Therapist CE Requirements and Courses Requirements
How many CEs does Kentucky require?
Kentucky MFTs are required to complete 15 hours of approved continuing education annually.
Can I take my CEs from CE4Less?
CE4Less is currently not approved by The Kentucky Board of Licensure for Marriage and Family Therapist.
What else do I need to know?
Kentucky MFT licenses must be renewed annually by licensure date.
Each renewal period Kentucky MFTs must complete: (CE4Less courses are currently not approved)
- 3 hours in Ethics
Every 6 years MFTs must complete 6 hours in Suicide Assessment, Treatment, and Management.
Within 3 years of initial licensure must complete 3 hours training on dynamics of domestic violence and elder abuse, neglect, and exploitation; effects of these on adult and child victims; legal remedies for protection; lethality and risk issues; model protocols for addressing domestic violence and elder abuse, neglect, and exploitation; available community resources and victim services and reporting requirements as required by KRS 194A.540.
