Connecticut Counselor CE Requirements and Courses

Connecticut Counselors are required to complete 15 hours of approved continuing education annually.

Yes! There are no restrictions on the number of hours Connecticut Counselors can complete through CE4Less – all 15 hours may be earned through CE4Less.

CE4less is approved by the American Psychological Association (APA), Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB), and the National Board of Certified Counselors (NBCC).

Connecticut Counselor licenses must be renewed annually by the last day of the licensee’s birth month.

Each renewal period Connecticut Counselors are required to complete:

• 1 hour in Cultural Competency
• 3 hours in Ethics (See our courses in Ethics & Telemental Health and Ethics Boundary Issues)

CT Counselors must complete 2 hours in Mental Health conditions to Veterans and family members of Veterans (once every 6 years)
