How many CEs does South Carolina require?
South Carolina Addiction Counselors are required to complete 40 hours of continuing education every 2 years.
Can I take my CEs from CE4Less?

South Carolina Addiction Counselor licenses must be renewed every two years by August 31st on odd years.
Each renewal South Carolina Addiction Counselors are required to complete:
- 6 hours in Ethics (See our courses in Ethics & Telemental Health and Ethics Boundary Issues)
- 1 hour in Suicide Assessment, Treatment, and Management Treatment
- 10 hours in Supervision (Supervisors only)
