Arizona Marriage and Family Therapist CE Requirements and Courses

Arizona MFT’s are required to complete 30 hours of approved continuing education every 2 years.

Yes! There are no restrictions on the number of hours Arizona MFT’s can complete through CE4Less – all 30 hours may be earned through CE4Less.

CE4Less is approved by the Association of Social Worker Boards (ASWB), American Psychological Association (APA), National Board of Certified Counselors (NBCC), and NAADAC.

Arizona MFT’s licenses must be renewed every two years from their initial issuance date.

Each renewal Arizona MFT’s are required to complete:

• 3 hours in Ethics (See our courses in Ethics & Telemental Health and Ethics & Boundary Issues)
• 3 hours in Cultural Competency & Diversity
  • Intimate Partner Violence in Culturally Diverse Groups and Special Populations (4 hours)
  • Implicit Bias: Awareness and Management for Mental Health Professionals (3 hours)
  • Affirmative Counseling for Transgender and Gender Diverse Clients (8 hours)
• 3 hours in Arizona Statutes/Regulations approved by the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners
