How many hours of CE credit does Iowa require for psychologists?
Iowa psychologists are required to complete 40 hours of approved continuing education during each 2-year licensure period.

What else do I need to know?
Iowa psychologist licenses must be renewed by June 30th of each even year.
For the second renewal period, Iowa psychologists are required to complete 6 hours of ethics education. For all subsequent renewals, 6 hours are required in one of the following categories: (i) ethical issues, (ii) federal mental health laws and regulations, (iii) Iowa mental health laws and regulations, or (iv) risk management.
