How many CEs does Vermont require?
Vermont Counselors are required to complete 40 hours of approved continuing education every 2 years.

What else do I need to know?
Vermont Counselor licenses must be renewed every two years by January 31st of odd years.
Each renewal Vermont Counselors must complete:
- 4 hours in Ethics (See our courses in Ethics & Telemental Health and Ethics Boundary Issues)
- 1 hour in Systematic Oppression and Anti-Oppresive Practice, or in related topic areas (cultural competency, cultural humility, anti-racism)
