New Hampshire Social Work CE Requirements

New Hampshire social workers (LICSW) are required to complete 40 hours of approved continuing education every 2 years.

Yes! New Hampshire social workers can complete up to 20 hours of the total CE requirement during their 2-year licensing period through Category A courses.

New Hampshire accepts courses from any provider approved by the Association of Social Worker Boards (“ASWB”).  CE4Less.com, provider #1115, is approved to offer social work continuing education by the ASWB as an Approved Continuing Education (“ACE”) provider. New Hampshire accepts our courses for CE credit.  CE4Less’ courses count for Category A credit.

Beginning February 22, 2023, New Hampshire social work licenses must be renewed every 2 years by the last day of the month in which they were initially issued.

Each renewal cycle, New Hampshire social workers must complete:

• 6 hours in Ethics (CE4Less offers a number of ethics courses that may be used to satisfy this requirement, including Ethics & Boundary Issues and Ethics & Telemental Health)
• 3 hours in Suicide Prevention (CE4Less offers a course in Suicide: Assessment, Treatment, and Management that satisfies this requirement)

Hours earned in the topics above beyond the stated minimum may be applied toward the overall requirement.
