Oregon Marriage and Family Therapist CE Requirements and Courses Requirements
How many CEs does Oregon require?
Oregon MFT’s are required to complete 40 hours of approved continuing education every 2 years.
Can I take my CEs from CE4Less?
Yes! There are no restrictions on the number of hours Oregon MFT’s can complete through CE4Less – all 40 hours may be earned through CE4Less.
CE4Less is approved by the American Psychological Association (APA), Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB), National Board of Certified Counselors (NBCC), and NAADAC.

What else do I need to know?
Oregon MFT licenses must be renewed every two years by the last day of their birth month.
Each renewal Oregon MFT’s are required to complete:
- 6 hours in Ethics (See our courses in Ethics & Telemental Health and Ethics Boundary Issues)
- 4 hours in Culture Competency
- 2 hours in Suicide Risk Assessment, Treatment and Management
- 3 hours in Supervision (For licensees who supervise registered associates, including all licenses on the Supervisor Registry)
