Florida Marriage and Family Therapist CE Requirements and Courses Requirements
How many CEs does Florida require?
Florida MFT’s are required to complete 30 hours of approved continuing education every 2 years.
Can I take my CEs from CE4Less?
Yes! There are no restrictions on the number of hours Florida MFT’s can complete through CE4Less – all 30 hours may be earned through CE4Less.
CE4Less is approved by the Florida State Board of Clinical Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy, and Mental Health Counseling (CE Broker Provider #50-10860). Florida accepts CE4Less courses for CE credit. CE4Less courses count as home study and will automatically report successful course completions to CE Broker electronically.
CE4Less is approved by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB), American Psychological Association (APA), and National Board of Certified Counselors (NBCC).

What else do I need to know?
We submit credits to CE Broker
CE4Less.com is approved by the Florida Board of Clinical Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy and Mental Health Counseling (CE Provider #50-10860).
Florida MFT’s licenses must be renewed by March 31st of each odd year.
Each renewal Florida MFT’s must complete:
- 3 hours in Ethics & Boundariesor Telehealth (alternating requirement – MFT’s must complete these two courses on an alternating basis each 2-year renewal cycle)
- 2 hours in Medical Error Prevention
Every third renewal, Florida MFT’s must complete:
- 3 hours in Florida Law and Rules
- 2 hours in Domestic Violence(CE4Less offers a number of domestic violence courses – available here)
- Qualified Supervisors only: 4 hours in Supervisor Training
