Kentucky Psychologist CE Requirements
How many hours of CE credit does Kentucky require for psychologists?
Kentucky psychologists are required to complete 39 hours of approved continuing education every three years.
Can I take my CE from CE4Less?
Yes! Kentucky accepts up to 12 hours of home study continuing education credit per renewal cycle.
Kentucky accepts courses offered by providers approved by the American Psychological Association (“APA”) for continuing education credit. CE4Less is approved by the APA to sponsor continuing education for psychologists, and CE4Less courses are accepted by Kentucky.
What else do I need to know?
Kentucky psychologist licenses must be renewed every three years by their initial issuance date.
For the first renewal following licensure, Kentucky psychologists must complete 6 hours in suicide assessment, treatment and management – CE4Less’ course on the topic satisfies the requirement.
For all subsequent renewals, Kentucky psychologists must complete at least 3 hours of ethics or risk management education. CE4Less offers an APA Ethics Code course as well as other ethics courses (for example, Ethics & Telemental Health) that may be used to satisfy this requirement.
