New Jersey MFT’s are required to complete 40 hours of approved continuing education every 2 years.

Yes! New Jersey MFT’s may earn 20 hours through CE4Less.

CE4Less is approved by the American Psychological Association (APA) and the National Board of Certified Counselors (NBCC) to provide continuing education.

New Jersey MFT licenses must be renewed every 2 years by June 30th of even years.

Each renewal New Jersey MFT’s must complete:

• 5 hours in Ethics (See our courses in Ethics & Telemental Health and Ethics Boundary Issues)
• 3 hours in Social and Cultural Competency
• 1 hour in Opioid Drugs (See courses in Opioid Use Disorder and Medication for Opioid Disorder
