How many hours of CE credit does Pennsylvania require for psychologists?
Pennsylvania psychologists are required to complete 30 hours of approved continuing education every 2 years.
Can I take my CEs from CE4Less?
Yes! Pennsylvania psychologists can complete up to 15 hours of the total CE requirement during their 2-year licensing period through home study courses.
Pennsylvania accepts courses from any provider approved by the American Psychological Association (“APA”). CE4Less is approved by the APA to sponsor credit for psychologists, and Pennsylvania accepts our courses for CE credit.

What else do I need to know?
Pennsylvania psychologist licenses must be renewed by November 30th of each odd year.
Each renewal cycle, Pennsylvania psychologists must complete:
- 3 hours in Ethics
- 2 hours in Child Abuse Recognition and Reporting CE4Less does not offer a Pennsylvania approved course. Take the PA approved course for free from: https://www.reportabusepa.pitt.edu/
- 1 hour in Suicide Prevention
CE4Less offers a number of ethics courses that may be used to satisfy the ethics requirement, including our APA Ethics Code course, Ethics & Telemental Health, and Ethics & Boundary Issues. CE4Less also offers a comprehensive course on Suicide: Assessment, Treatment, and Management, as well as courses such as Treatment for Suicidal Ideation, Self Harm, and Suicide Attempts Among Youth that are more focused on specific populations. Pennsylvania accepts any course from an APA-approved provider (including CE4Less) with “suicide” in the title to satisfy the suicide prevention requirement.
Up to 10 hours of credit may be carried over to the next renewal period.
