Nebraska Social Work CE Requirements

Nebraska social workers (CMSW and CSW) are required to complete 32 hours of approved continuing education every 2 years.

Yes! There are no restrictions on the number of hours Nebraska social workers can complete through CE4Less – all 32 hours may be earned through CE4Less.

Nebraska accepts courses from any provider approved by the Association of Social Worker Boards (“ASWB”).  CE4Less.com, provider #1115, is approved to offer social work continuing education by the ASWB as an Approved Continuing Education (“ACE”) provider. Nebraska social work licenses (CMSW and CSW) must be renewed by August 31 of each even year.

Each renewal period, all Nebraska social workers must complete at least 4 hours in ethics education.  CE4Less offers a number of ethics courses that may be used to satisfy this requirement, including Ethics & Boundary Issues and Ethics & Telemental Health.  For a full listing of our available ethics courses, see here.

All licensed independent mental health practitioners (IMHP) must complete at least 6 hours of continuing education relating to diagnosis and treatment of major mental disorders.  This requirement can be met with our course: DSM-5-TR: A Comprehensive Overview
