How many CEs does Florida require?
How many CEs do I need to complete each year?
The number of continuing education contact hours (CEs) you must complete each year depends on the credential you hold.
CAP, CAC, CCJAP, CCJAC, CPP, CMHP, CWCM: 20 annual CEs in content related to credential performance domains.
CGAC*, CAS, CRSS, CCJAS, CPS**, CBHT, CRPS, CRPS-A, CRPS-F: 10 annual CEs in content related to credential performance domains.
*if you have reciprocity with your CPS credential, you are required to submit 20 CEs annually.
Can I take my CEs from CE4Less?
You can take all required hours for basic credentialing and license renewal via homestudy. The Florida Certification Board accepts courses from NAADAC providers.
What else do I need to know?
The FCB does require certified professionals to receive continuing education (CEs) for recertification and renewal purposes from an FCB approved provider. FCB approved providers include:
- Colleges and universities accredited by a DOE/CHEA recognized higher education accreditation agency.
