South Carolina Counselor CE Requirements and Courses

South Carolina Counselors are required to complete 40 hours of continuing education every 2 years.

Yes! South Carolina Counselors may earn 15 hours through CE4Less.

CE4Less is approved by the National Board of Certified Counselors (NBCC) and NAADAC for continuing education.

South Carolina Counselor licenses must be renewed every two years by August 31st on odd years.

Each renewal South Carolina Counselors are required to complete:

• 6 hours in Ethics (See our courses in Ethics & Telemental Health and Ethics Boundary Issues)
• 1 hour in Suicide Assessment, Treatment, and Management Treatment
• 10 hours in Supervision (Supervisors only) (Supervisors only)
