Alabama Marriage and Family Therapist CE Requirements and Courses Requirements
How many CEs does Alabama require?
Alabama Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists are required to complete 40 hours of approved continuing education every 2 years.
Can I take my CEs from CE4Less?

What else do I need to know?
Alabama LMFT licenses must be renewed every 2 years by December 31st.
Each renewal Alabama LMFT’s must complete:
- 6 hours in Diagnosis and Treatment
- 6 hours in Ethics (See our courses in Ethics & Telemental Health and Ethics Boundary Issues)
- 5 hours in Supervision (LMFT Supervisors)
- 10 hours in MFT Workshops
