How many hours of CE credit does Wisconsin require for social workers?
Wisconsin social workers (LCSW, CISW, CAPSW, and CSW) are required to complete 30 hours of approved continuing education every 2 years.
Can I take my CEs from CE4Less?
Yes! Wisconsin social workers can complete up to 26 hours of the total CE requirement during their 2-year licensing period through CE4Less courses. Only the 4-hour ethics requirement must be completed in a live/interactive format.
Wisconsin accepts courses from any provider approved by the Association of Social Worker Boards (“ASWB”). CE4Less.com, provider #1115, is approved to offer social work continuing education by the ASWB as an Approved Continuing Education (“ACE”) provider. See our Accreditations page for additional details.

What else do I need to know?
Wisconsin social work licenses (LCSW, CISW, CAPSW, and CSW) must be renewed by February 28 of each odd year.
Wisconsin social workers (regardless of license type) must complete at least 4 hours in ethics education during each 2-year licensing period. Unfortunately, Wisconsin requires that this course be completed in a live/interactive format, and CE4Less is not yet able to offer a course that meets these requirements. CE4Less can, however, meet all other CE requirements for all Wisconsin social workers. Check out our Course Library and browse by category to find the courses that best fit your particular interests and practice areas!
