Indiana social workers are required to complete 20 hours of approved continuing education every year.
Indiana social worker licenses renew every 2 years; however, social workers may not complete the entire 40-hour requirement for the 2-year renewal cycle in a single year.
Can I take my CEs from CE4Less?
Yes! There are no restrictions on the number of hours Indiana social workers can complete through CE4Less – all 20 hours may be earned through CE4Less every year.
Indiana accepts courses from any provider approved by the Association of State Social Worker Boards (“ASWB”). CE4Less, provider #1115, is approved by the ASWB to offer social work continuing education. Indiana accepts our courses for CE credit.  CE4Less’ courses count as Category I credit.

What else do I need to know?
Indiana social work licenses must be renewed by March 31st of each even year.
Indiana social workers must complete at least 2 hours in ethics education, including boundary issues during each 2-year licensing period. Note that 1 hour of ethics is required each year. CE4Less offers several applicable ethics courses including a course in Ethics & Boundary Issues and Ethics and Telemental Health that satisfy this requirement.
Indiana also accepts courses from providers approved by the American Psychological Association (“APA”) and National Board of Certified Counselors (“NBCC”). CE4Less is approved to sponsor continuing education credit by both the APA and the NBCC. See our Accreditations page for further details.
