How many hours of CE credit does Kansas require for social workers?
Kansas social workers (LSCSW, LMSW, LBSW, and LASW) are required to complete 40 hours of approved continuing education every 2 years.
Can I take my CEs from CE4Less?

What else do I need to know?
Kansas Social Work licenses (LSCSW, LMSW, LBSW, and LASW) must be renewed by every 2 years by the last day of the month they were initially issued.
Each renewal Kansas Social Workers must complete:
- 3 hours in Ethics (See our courses in Ethics & Telemental Health and Ethics Boundary Issues)
- 3 hours in Diagnosis and Treatment of Mental Disorders
There is also a one time requirement of 6 hours of social work safety awareness training.
