Ohio Social Work Courses

Ohio’s CE requirements for social workers vary based on the type of license held:

• LISWs and LSWs are required to complete 30 hours of approved continuing education every 2 years
• SWAs are required to complete 15 hours of approved continuing education every 2 years

Yes! There are no restrictions on the number of hours Ohio social workers can complete through CE4Less – all required hours may be earned through CE4Less.

Ohio accepts courses from any provider approved by the Association of Social Worker Boards (“ASWB”) or the Ohio Counselor, Social Worker, and Marriage & Family Therapist Board (“Ohio CSWMFT Board”).  CE4Less.com, provider #1115, is approved to offer social work continuing education by the ASWB and the Ohio CSWMFT Board as an Approved Continuing Education (“ACE”) provider. Ohio accepts our courses for CE credit.  CE4Less’ courses count as home study.

Ohio social work licenses (LISW, LSW, and SWA) must be renewed every 2 years by their original date of issuance.
