South Carolina Social Work CE Requirements
How many hours of CE credit does South Carolina require for social workers?
South Carolina social workers (LBSW, LMSW, LISW-AP, and LISW-CP) are required to complete 40 hours of approved continuing education every 2 years.
Can I take my CE from CE4Less?

South Carolina social work licenses (LBSW, LMSW, LISW-AP, and LISW-CP) must be renewed every two years by December 31.
There are no specific courses or topics that must be addressed by South Carolina social workers in order to renew their licenses. The South Carolina Board of Social Work Examiners does require, however, that courses used to satisfy CE requirements must relate to the practice of social work, such as research, psychology, sociology, law, child and family development, counseling, gerontology, substance abuse, criminal justice, and mental health, among others.
