How many CEs does New York require?
New York social workers (LMSW and LCSW) are required to complete 36 hours of approved continuing education every 3 years, and we have the perfect solution for you!

Yes! You may take up to 12 contact hours of continuing education from CE4Less.
What else do I need to know?
Each renewal cycle, New York social workers are required to complete:
- 3 hours in Appropriate Professional Boundaries (NEW REQUIREMENT for registration periods beginning April 1, 2023). You may take our Ethics and Boundary Issues course to satisfy this requirement.
- 3 hours in Identification and Reporting of Child Abuse and Maltreatment. CE4Less is not currently approved to satisfy this requirement though our courses on this topic can apply to your general hours.
