North Carolina Social Work CE Requirements
How many hours of CE credit does North Carolina require for social workers?
North Carolina social workers (LCSW, LCSWA, CMSW, CSWM, and CSW) are required to complete 40 hours of approved continuing education every 2 years.
Can I take my CE from CE4Less?
Yes! North Carolina social workers can complete up to 20 hours of the total CE requirement during their 2-year licensing period through distance learning / home study courses.

What else do I need to know?
North Carolina social work licenses (LCSW, LCSWA, CMSW, CSWM, and CSW) must be renewed every 2 years by June 30.
