How many CEs does Virginia require?
Virginia MFTs are required to complete 20 hours of approved continuing education annually.
Can I take my CEs from CE4Less?
Yes! There are no restrictions on the number of hours Virginia MFTs can complete through CE4Less – all 20 hours may be earned through CE4Less.
CE4Less is approved by the Americal Psychological Association (APA), the National Board of Certified Counselors (NBCC), and NAADAC to provide continuing education.

Virginia MFT licenses must be renewed annually by June 30th.
Each renewal Virginia MFTs must complete 2 of these hours must emphasize Ethics, Standards of Practice, or Laws governing behavioral science professions.
