How many CEs does Vermont require?
Vermont MFTs are required to complete 20 hours of approved continuing education every 2 years.
Can I take my CEs from CE4Less?
Yes! Vermont MFTs may earn 10 hours through CE4Less.
CE4less is approved by the American Psychological Association (APA) and the National Board of Certified Counselors (NBCC) to provide continuing education

What else do I need to know?
Vermont MFT licenses must be renewed every two years by January 31st of odd years.
Each renewal Vermont MFTs must complete:
- 4 hours in Ethics (See our courses in Ethics & Telemental Health and Ethics Boundary Issues)
- 1 hour in Systematic Oppression and Anti-Oppresive Practice, or in related topic areas (cultural competency, cultural humility, anti-racism)
