Social workers, psychologists, marriage and family therapists, and counselors are all likely to work with individuals who use or are considering the use of psychiatric medications as part of their treatment of psychological and neurobiological disorders. Clinical Psychopharmacology Made Ridiculously Simple 10th Edition provides a brief and practical overview of clinical psychopharmacology and psychotropic medications. The course provides information on diagnostics, differential diagnosis, guidelines for treating psychological disorders, and medication strategies. This edition also includes explorations of the influences of both neurobiology and culture on psychopharmacology. Case examples provide illustrations of successful applications of the information offered in the text.

John D. Preston, PsyD, ABPP, is a licensed psychologist, and author or coauthor of twenty books. He is professor emeritus of psychology at Alliant International University, and has also served on the faculty of the UC Davis School of Medicine. He has lectured widely in the United States and abroad. He is the recipient of the Mental Health Association’s President’s Award for contributions to the mental health professions, and is a fellow of the American Psychological Association.

Bret A. Moore, PsyD, ABPP, is a board-certified clinical and pre- scribing psychologist in San Antonio, TX. Over the past twelve years, he has taught graduate-level courses in clinical psychopharmacology for multiple universities and colleges. He is the recipient of the Educator of the Year award from the American Society for the Advancement of Pharmacotherapy, and is a fellow of the American Psychological Association.
