Justin Russotti, PhD, LCSW

Justin Russotti, PhD, LCSW, is a research associate in the Clinical Psychology department at the University of Rochester and a lecturer in the Counseling Department at the same institution. He obtained his master’s degree in social work from the University of Southern California and his PhD in Counseling from the University of Rochester. He is completing a postdoctoral fellowship at the TRANSFORM National Center for Child Abuse & Neglect. His research focuses on the etiological roots and mechanistic underpinnings of stress-related disorders and the developmental sequela of trauma and adversity. He teaches several courses related to trauma-informed intervention and has published numerous articles on the topic. Dr. Russotti is also in private practice with an emphasis in treating trauma and stress-related disorders.
