You Light the Way: A Tribute to the Guiding Stars of Mental Health
You Light the Way: A Tribute to the Guiding Stars of Mental Health
During Mental Health Awareness Month, we shine a bright and grateful light on the people who illuminate the lives of others: our customers – mental health professionals who show up every day to guide, support, and uplift. To honor them, we created something special: a moving video set to an original song, The Way, featuring heartfelt photos and personal quotes from our customers.
They are the guiding stars of care – and this is our tribute to their light.
Watch the Tribute Video
We are proud to share this video with the world. It’s more than a montage. It’s a collective portrait of compassion, resilience, and purpose.
We hope it reminds you of how deeply appreciated you are—not just by your clients, but by all of us at CE4Less and CEU Creations.
Honoring the Helpers: Why We Created This Video
At CE4Less and CEU Creations, we believe that those who care for others deserve to be seen, celebrated, and supported. In April, we invited our customers to send in photos of themselves and share what inspires them in their work. The responses were stunning in their simplicity, honesty, and humanity.
The result is a breathtaking tribute video that showcases the heart behind the helping professions.
This project is our love letter to them – because even when they feel invisible, their light is felt by every life they touch.
“While continuing education for mental health professionals is our business, it’s your compassion, consistency, and care that inspire our mission. That’s why we created The Way video tribute – to honor the unseen emotional labor, the guiding presence, and the unwavering light you bring to the world.”
The Story Behind The Way
The soundtrack for this tribute is an original song called The Way, a one-of-a-kind collaboration between Anne McSweeney, LCSW, President of CEU Creations, and singer-songwriter Mackenzie Miller.
Their mission? To give voice to the clients – those whose lives have been transformed by the quiet, consistent presence of a mental health professional. Anne shared her insights as a licensed clinical social worker, providing potential client perspectives, articles, and scenarios that reflect the emotional and psychological journey of those seeking help.
Mackenzie brought these reflections to life through music, writing lyrics from the point of view of someone receiving care. The result is a powerful and poignant anthem for anyone who’s ever helped someone find their way back to hope.
McSweeney said, “From start to finish, the entire process truly warmed my heart. Watching Mackenzie grow into a brilliant and talented songwriter has been such a joy. Being part of this groundbreaking collaboration between a social worker and a songwriter, highlighting the profound impact helping professionals have on their clients’ lives, was nothing short of life-changing. I still get chills every time I hear the song.”
Miller said, “Collaborating with Anne on this song was an incredibly special experience. I’ve always loved writing music that captures real, lived experiences—music that connects us and reflects the things that truly matter. Mental health plays such a vital role in all of our lives, and this project gave me a deeper appreciation for that.
I’ll admit, writing the lyrics didn’t come easily at first. But Anne provided such powerful insights—perspectives of those who sought help and experienced profound transformation through the support of mental health professionals. Hearing these perspectives – the journeys, the challenges, and the breakthroughs was deeply moving, and those became the heart of the song.
I truly hope that others feel the emotion and meaning in this song as much as I felt it while writing it.”
Why This Matters
This Mental Health Awareness Month, we invite you to take a moment to recognize the impact you make. Whether you’re holding space for someone in grief, guiding a client through trauma, or simply showing up when it’s hardest – you are the North Star in someone’s journey.
While continuing education for mental health professionals is our business, it’s your compassion, consistency, and care that inspire our mission. That’s why we created The Way video tribute – to honor the unseen emotional labor, the guiding presence, and the unwavering light you bring to the world.
To Our Customers: Thank You
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you to everyone who submitted a photo, shared your words, or simply continue to do the work that matters. You are the reason we do what we do.
You light the way – and the world is brighter because of you.
